Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Holdenville Eye Center a proud provider of vision care products and services in Holdenville.


Jay LaValley O.D.

Dr. LaValley graduated from Holdenville High School and attended Oklahoma Christian University and the University of Oklahoma where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration. He then began studies at Northeastern State University College of Optometry. He received his Doctorate in 1992 and was accepted into the Beta Sigma Kappa society of scholastic achievement. Dr. LaValley is married with 3 children. His professional affiliations include the American Optometric Association and the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians.


Nicholas Hardgrave O.D.

Dr. Hardgrave graduated from Henryetta High School and went on to study Biology and then Optometry at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. While attending optometry school, Dr. Hardgrave received a scholarship from the United States Air Force and upon graduation, he entered active duty as an optometrist at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. He now serves in the Air Force Reserves at Tinker Air Force Base on a part time basis while enjoying private practice full time. In his free time Dr. Hardgrave enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, hiking, and playing sports.
